1. What types of services do you provide?
We provide non-medical caregiving and family-directed support, including companionship, assistance with daily living activities, caregiver respite, and supportive guidance for families.
2. Do you provide medical care or nursing services?
No. Sheffield Haven Care provides non-medical support only. We do not offer skilled nursing or medical services.
3. Who do you serve?
We support older adults, Veterans, individuals with memory-related or cognitive challenges, and families seeking additional support in the home. We currently serve Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, and Norfolk.
4. How do I get started?
Families can contact us directly to discuss their needs and determine if our services are a good fit.
Veterans Questions
1. Do you provide care for Veterans?
Yes. We are honored to support Veterans and their families by providing non-medical caregiving and family-directed support in the home. Our approach respects each Veteran’s service, independence, and individual care needs.
2. Can VA benefits be used to help pay for care?
Some Veterans and their families may qualify for VA benefits, such as Aid & Attendance, which can help offset the cost of non-medical care. These benefits are paid to the Veteran or family and may be used at their discretion to support care needs.
3. What types of services are appropriate for Veterans?
Our non-medical services may include companionship, assistance with daily living activities, caregiver respite, and supportive guidance during care transitions. Services are always tailored to respect routines, preferences, and personal dignity.
4. Do you serve Veterans with memory related or cognitive conditions?
Yes. We support Veterans living with memory-related, neurological, or cognitive challenges, providing patient, respectful, and consistent non-medical care.
